Contacting a therapist may appear daunting so here's what to expect when you contact me....
Conversation
The first thing to expect is a conversation in order for me to understand your problems, and to identify those things you would like to change (or maintain the same) in your life. It is completely normal to feel a little nervous at the beginning, but entirely up to you how much you choose to share.
You can expect the therapy session to be a safe, non-judgmental and compassionate space. You may stop your therapy at any point during the treatment.
Ethical Practice
I am fully accredited and adhere to the British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) Ethical Framework www.babcp.com
Confidentiality and clinical supervision
I provide a confidential service where you can be certain that what you share with me will not be discussed, in any form, outside of our sessions.
Cost
A face to face session is £120
An online session is £100
Fees payable at time of session by cash or prior by BACS.
Time
Sessions are usually sixty minutes long. Certain interventions require ninety minutes – when this is necessary for you we shall discuss this, and agree to it together, in advance.
Cancellations
Half of the cost of your scheduled session will be payable when you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice. There is no charge incurred on cancellations which are made more than 48 hours in advance.
Number of sessions per treatment
This depends on you, your own personal needs and your particular goals. We can discuss this together, deciding a timescale that is synchronised with your particular personal goals.
Availability
Please feel free to contact me via phone or email to check availability.
Therapy agreement
If you decide to go ahead with therapy we will go through my therapy agreement, which is just a reasonable number of fundamental expectations- for each other, and for the therapeutic process.
